El termino audifono de media concha se refiere al tamaño del audifono. Un audifono de media concha se considera de tamaño medio en comparacion con otros de los que van den el oido. No es tan grande como los audifonos de concha completa que llenan completamente la cavidad de la oreja, pero no tan pequeno como los que se insertan en al canal del oido. La caratula es generalmente del tamaño de una moneda de cinco centavos de dollar o 'nickel', aunque esto en realidad depende del tamaño particular del oido de la person y de las extras que puedan ser instaladas dentro del dispositivo. Un dispositivo de media concha utiliza baterias de tamaño #312. Estos audifonos se fabrican a la mediad para que el tamaño y la forma coincidan perfectamente con el oido de la persona por lo que necesitamos una impression o molde del oido del usuario, esto se puede hace facilmente en casa. Lloyds le enviara un paquete sin costo alguno para que usted tome este molde o impression o si usted tiene un audifono que le quede bien podemos utilizar este para crear el molde de su nuevo aparato auditivo. Este proceso es muy seguro y simple que usted puede realizar en su casa…decenas de miles de nuestros clients lo han hecho en los ultimos 40 años, sin ningun tipo de problema.
El audifono de media concha es un instrumento analogico que se fabrica segun el nivel de perdida auditiva del usuario. Nos gustaria tener un audigrama (grafico del test de audicion) si lo tiene seria de mucha ayuda si nos lo envia, pero si no lo tiene no es indispensable. Entre mas completa sea la descripcion de la perdida auditiva de una persona asi podremos ayuarle mas en la solucion a su problema. El audifono de media concha estandar viene con un control de volumen y un control tipo 'trimpot' gratis. El dispositivo puede ser confeccionado con una ganancia maxima de 50dB, haciendolo apropiado para una gran variedad de niveles de perdida auditiva que van desde medio hasta moderado servero. Tambien estos dispositivos cuenta con ventilacion a traves de la caratula, permitiendole al aparato 'respirar' cuando esta siendo usado. Esto ayuda a aliviar la sensacion de estar hablando dentro de un barill. El audifono estandar de media concha viene con una garantia de un año, herramientas de limpieza, baterias gratis, bolsa suave para guardar el audifono y todo lo necesario para utilizar el audifono una vez abierta la caja. Tambien podemos extender la garantia a un periodo mas prolongado a un precio reasonable.

****NOTE FROM LLOYDS***** This person did not purchase their instrument from Lloyds. There is no indication regarding the mfgr or circuitry of this lady's aids - C.I.C. is a reference to size only. Due to our very generous trial policy, we truly do not get complaints like this . It's better for a person to return an aid (if they deal with us) than to have the sort of experience this lady is having with a local audiologist/dealer. P.S. Our custom CIC aids ARE molded to the size and shape of the client's ear. See info on website.
I bought 2 of the cic hearing aids. I went back to my local office 3 times to see why there was noise coming from the aids. They said that was normal. I finally complained enough that they sent one back to the factory to fix. I got it back 2 weeks later still sounding the same. That has happened 3 times and now I asked for my money back. Plus, I spent $3,498.00 for two CIC aids. How can you sell yours without getting the aid molded to the ear? Anyway, I am not happy with this product.

Mine arrived by mail this morning and it works just great. I hav 2 BTE aids, the newer was 1700.00 Canadian, bought just 3 months ago from a continent wide franchise and manufacturer. This cost about 250.00 US with the extra receiver.
The body mount is superior in every way to the BTE aids and works out to about 15% of the cost.
There is no background noise at all and the mushroom ear things are, to me, far more comfortable than than the plastic things that go into the the ear. The only disadvantage is that everyone thinks I am wearing a walkman. Lots of people do that by choice so that doesn't bother me. Anyway pretty doesn't cut it with me, results do. This aid give darned good results. I am glad I bought it.
